A New Year! Welcoming 2010 - January 23, 2010

So, its been a good long time since I have been on here and updated this website!

It seems like this past year has gone by so quickly, I can hardly believe it! 2009 was a tough year, many changes were brought to the ministry and many decisions were made about our continuing on; but we made it through and here we are in the same spot a year later! Every year brings changes, every year brings new excitement and every year bring new highs and lows to everyone. As we start out this year, we once again begin without Tracy and Sharon, who are the backbone of this group. Tracy continues to sits at home awaiting a kidney transplant while undergoing dialysis 3 days a week. Our schedule is growing as Tracy has been working very hard to keep us busy! At this point, we already have over 168 concerts booked and thats just a start for 2010! We have many exciting things happening including an Alaskan cruise in May, in which we have a few openings left to fill, as well as a trip to Europe and possibly Norway for a missions conference in the fall. We will once again wrap up the new year with a Christmas tour with Billy and Paula Speer.

We have so many needs as many people across this great country do. Our finances have suffered greatly in the past year and we know the struggles are among everyone, not just ourselves. We have seen Church attendances fall behind, Church and Mission Giving fall behind and many dear friends leave this world to join our Savior in a better place! In the midst of the heartache and trials, we press on and continue to make a difference in peoples lives. God is GOOD and always takes care of His children. I am still trying to raise some support, but so far, it is not going very well. Please pray that I will be able to get that extra support as finances are extremely tight right now!

Beginning March 1st, we will have "The God on the Mountain Legacy" DVD available online and on our tables for purchase. This has been a long time coming and the release date has been thrown around several times. Its finally here though! We have finished the project and it is at print as I write this update. God is doing wonderful things with this DVD and we are excited about it! With Appearances by Lynda Randle, Lily Weatherford, the McKamey's, Ben Speer, Phil Cross, and many more...Its a DVD experience you don't want to miss. It will be airing on several Television networks and we will post all the information right here and on darttmusic.com as well. This brand new DVD features the life and legacy of Tracy Dartt and the popular Dove Award Nominated song, "God on the Mountain". It was pronounced song of the year in 1989 and still today touches the hearts and lives of people all around the world!

For those of you that are interested in joining us to Alaska, click the Alaska tab on the right of the screen and download a PDF with all the information!

If you are in the Orlando area on March 5, 2010, we are having a HUGE concert celebration with the Puffer, the Speers, the Weatherfords, and Vocal Edition at First Baptist Church of Orlando at 6:30 PM. Tickets can be purchased for $15 in advance or $18 at the door. You can order them by calling 352-429-3444. Also, the same groups will be appearing the next night, March 6th in Bradenton, FL at First Baptist Church. Don't miss out on a great evening of Southern Gospel Music!

Continue to pray for our safety in travels and to remain healthy with all the sickness going around. Last year I lost my hearing for over a month and struggled with throat problems due to a infection, so please pray we can avoid that this year! We appreciate all your support in prayers and we look forward to seeing you all at our next concert....wherever that may be!
God Bless!

Summer/Fall Newsletter - September 2, 2009

Hey Ya'll!
I am trusting that everyone has made it through the summer months refreshed, relaxed and prepared for the Fall. We have been busy and in these days, to be busy is a GOOD thing! We have seen many faces and places over the past several months as well as souls saved! We thank God for the many blessings! We have ministered from California to Washington sate over through ID, UT, WY, NE, MO, IN, TN, down through Texas, LA, MS, AR and now up to Maine! We have covered thousands of miles and we are looking forward to the many more that are before us! Beginning Labor Day weekend, we will start a fall tour with my folks, Billy & Paula Speer that will last about 5 weeks. I am excited about working with them and enjoying some time in New England. It is a beautiful time of year up there with the leaves beginning to change, gathering with family and friends as well as enjoying some much needed seafood! Lobsta anyone?
Since the last update, Tracy has been approved for a transplant which we are so thankful for! The donor here in TN has passed several tests and is scheduled September 11th for another round of them. We also had great news today as another pastor friend of ours from FL has passed these tests and has been moved on to the next round. We are very blessed that God has given us 2 men of God who are willing to donate their kidneys to Tracy. Please continue to pray as the testing moves forward! No surgery date has been scheduled yet as this process could take several weeks or even months. PRAY, PRAY, PRAY!!
The news of the Alaska cruise has sparked much interest! We are growing in numbers each day and we are thrilled to see the response of people who want to go cruising with us! There is still room on the ship for anyone who would like to sign up. The dates are May 21-28, 2010 and we have just added more groups to the line up, so don't miss out! The prices include taxes, port fees, gratuities and concert tickets! For a brochure and more information, please log onto my website at www.bjspeer.com and click the "Alaska 2010" tab on the right side of the page. You will be able to download a PDF file right to your computer! Hope we see you on the high seas! (Room availability is limited, so call now to ensure your room type)

I understand that the crunch in the economy has been quite devastating this past year and so many ministries, like ours, tend to feel the heat. We are under some extreme financial pressures, just as the rest of the country! We are praying for God to work miracles for our financial deliverance! As we put together our touring schedule for 2010, we are understanding that it could be Stoney and I for a few months longer. Trusting for a miracle, but still recognizing we could be well into next year as a duet. I am trying something different over the next several months, and that is to try and raise a monthly support from people like yourselves as well as from churches. We look at ourselves as a type of missionary. We will be going abroad next year sharing our ministry overseas as well and we, like missionaries, need support to keep us going. As I said, I know people are hurting in these days of economic crisis, but it is our goal to continue traveling and sharing the Word of God. The bills continue to grow and the stress of them never eases up any. We are doing what we can to keep Tracy and Sharon comfortable at home while we travel and continue the ministry, however our needs have grown and we need your help...I need your help! In order to continue on the road, I am needing to raise a monthly support. My goal is to try and raise $1,000 a month to help with my bills and living costs. During these months of hardships, some things have had to lapse, because finances were not there. I know this is where God wants me! He has blessed us so much in many areas and I am trusting God to continue to meet the needs we have. I don't know what's next for us, but I know He has something amazing planned! If you are interested in helping out with the monthly needs, I greatly appreciate it! If you are unable to at this time, I understand and only ask that you continue to pray for the Dartts, for Stoney and myself as we press on! Many people think that since it is just Stoney and myself on the road that the expenses are less, but in reality they have been more as we are having to keep things going even on the home front for Tracy and Sharon. Medical bills are adding up and will continue to grow as a transplant date nears. Donations can be made through Napa Valley Baptist Church, but also can be given directly to:
BJ Speer
PO BOX 422
Greenbrier, TN. 37073
( If donating through Napa Valley, please designate BJ Speer)

I hate asking for money or raising support, but the Bible shares with us to let our needs be known, to ask for all things. I am asking for prayers and support during to what I believe are the "last days". Thank you for being faithful prayer warriors!
Our schedule is constantly being updated, so be sure to continue to check www.darttmusic.com and www.bjspeer.com for the latest happenings and schedule changes. We are adding pictures and video clips as well as preparing for the release of "The God on the Mountain Legacy" DVD/CD. We are setting the release date for October 15th and we will be taking pre-orders by email beginning in September. This is a great DVD that shares the history behind the song!!
Thanks again for being a part of our ministry! God Bless you as you enter into this Fall season.
Living 4 Him,
BJ Speer

Quick Trip Home - July 22, 2009

recording1_cropped It is amazing to me how the days seem to fly by!!
We were able to fly home for a few days in June, which was so much fun and it was a chance to visit with my mom and dad. Stoney's sister and family were visiting as well and have since been shipped off to Norway for 4 years where Steve is being stationed in the army. We will miss them very much but are hoping for a visit overseas soon!!
Stoney and I flew back to Seattle where we left our bus and headed for Idaho. We have spent the last few weeks ministering in ID, UT, CO, WY, NE, MO and now we are looking forward to spending a few days at home before heading to TX for August! Lord Willing by the beginning of September we will be up in Maine and Canada for a Fall tour with my folks for the month!! We will also be teaming up again for a Christmas tour this year, to which I am very excited about!!
This past week, Tracy Dartt was approved for a kidney transplant by the doctors at Vanderbuilt University! We are thrilled that God has strengthened him enough to undergo such a huge operation! He is on a 3 year waiting list, but we do have 3 donors who are going through the "testing" process, so please pray one is a match!!
The Alaskan cruise is heating up with much excitement!! Many new things scheduled such as a ladies seminar, mens study, a wii championship challenge for the young and young at heart as well as all the other exciting things to do in Alaska! There is still room, so if your interested in joining us, please click the NEW Alaska Cruise 2010 link on the left and download a brochure with ALL the FULL details!! We look forward to having you sail with us!
Well, I am certainly looking forward to taking some much needed time off, but I know my week will go flying by just as this year has!! Thanks for your continued prayers and until next time....God Bless! Enjoy the last of these beautiful summer days!!

BJ

SUMMER NEWS - June 11, 2009

Hey!
I can hardly believe it has been 2 months since the last update! Things really fly around here! We left home on April 18th and headed for the West Coast. We have had such an amazing tour and I can’t believe how many places we have been in just the last couple months! We have seen many friends now in TX, NM, AZ, CA, OR and now WA! Thanks to all of you who came out and supported Stoney and I during this transition!
The concerts with just the 2 of us have been really fun and we are now starting to get the hang of it! Hey, it only took 6 months! I am admiring the beauty of Washington State today! The snow capped mountain, green trees and ocean air! Its amazing that one state can have the best of it all! We have seen several people saved throughout these last few months and been able to make several visits with friends! ...and yes, we even squeezed in a day at Disneyland! We are looking forward to a few days off in just a couple weeks as we will fly home to Nashville to see family and friends! We are really looking forward to this time off, so please pray for safety and enjoyed time resting!! Once we come back to Seattle, we will pick our bus up and head to Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Nebraska, Wyoming and Missouri before arriving home the end of July. So, as you can see we have several miles to travel!! Our fall tour is starting to shape up and we are looking forward to being back on the East Coast! Hoping for a few seafood dinners!!
Tracy and Sharon remain home and are doing quite well. Tracy is still undergoing several tests and being evaluated for that kidney transplant! If only we could get 2 doctors to agree!! geesh! They are enjoying time with their other boys and grandkids and have now received word that they are going to be grandparents AGAIN! Their daughter Peachy is expecting baby #4 and is also leaving next month for Norway where her husband is being stationed for 3 years. He is a major in the army and we will miss them very much!! Time to go back overseas!!
Our cruise to Alaska is off to a great start! With several rooms already booked, we are excited to see how God is going to work! If you are interested in going with us for 7 nights, 8 days next year (May 21-28, 2010) call 207-546-7651 as rooms are becoming limited! More groups have signed on to sing, so the list keeps growing and we are thrilled!!
Well, I hope you enjoy your summer wherever you may spend it! Please continue to check our websites to see if we will be in your area! Its a WHOLE NEW SOUND this year and we would love to see you! May God richly bless you during these exciting days!!

Spring Tour - April 17, 2009

Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers over the last few days. I arrived back home in TN on Thursday morning after being stranded in the airport all night. I missed flight to Nashville upon returning back Wednesday from JFK and was re-routed to Atlanta where I made my bed on the floor in the lonely airport. I caught a flight early in the morning and made it safely back. Today, we are making final preparations to leave again on tour. We will make stops in Texas throughout the week and will make it to California by next Sunday, Lord willing! We are looking forward to spending many weeks in the old stomping grounds out west, but will be continuing to do so without Tracy and Sharon. We have completed filming on the "God on the Mountain" DVD and are looking forward to the release sometime this Summer. We have had so many set backs due to timing and health issues, so its nice to know its in its final stage of completion. Continue to pray we will have the project in hand soon!
Thanks again for your prayers for my family during our time of loss. My grandfather was 85 years old and was a born again Christian, so I know where he is and I can't wait to see him again soon! He is reunited with my grandmother whom he was married to for 60 years!~ It was a "Glad Reunion Day" for he and nannie!
God Bless!

BJ Speer - Death Of Grandfather - April 13, 2009

Please be in prayer for BJ & his parents, Billy & Paula Speer, and BJ's uncle, Brent, as they deal with the death of Paula & Brent's father, "Mac" Calder (BJ's Grandfather). Mac passed away on Saturday after his health, which has been poor for some time, recently took a turn for the worse.
Early this morning, BJ flew from Nashville, TN, to Bangor, ME, to join Billy & Paula, who had already flown up from Florida. Mac's funeral service will be held on Tuesday at North Road Baptist Church on Campobello Island, New Brunswick.
BJ, who was looking at having to fly into some wintery weather in Maine, said that his connecting flight, a prop plane from Newark, NJ, was one of the scariest flights he had been on, with quite a bit of "fish-tailing" & several drops. He had to fight back sickness as at least 3 people near him failed at fighting back their own motion sickness.
Please be in prayer for BJ & the family through a very emotionally draining & stressful time, and for safe driving & safe & affordable return flights back home to Tennessee for BJ & back to Florida for Billy & Paula.

Tracy remains in Hospital - January 9, 2009

Hey guys,
I am so sorry it has been forever since I have composed an email. Things on this end have been extremely crazy over the past few months and it doesn't seem to slow down.
We had an AWESOME Christmas tour and saw 592 people saved in 2008! That is something to rejoice about!
Upon returning home, Tracy had been experiencing some short breaths and heavy coughing. On January 2, he went to the ER and was admitted here at our local hospital in Springfield, TN. On Sunday he was transferred to Vanderbilt University hospital in Nashville, where he remains today. Tracy retained 28 pounds of fluid in just 2 and half weeks, and is now beginning to rid those fluids due to Dialysis. After several cat scans, x-rays and intensive research, the kidney research team found some very surprising and disturbing news. Tracy's heart was only pumping 20% of the blood through therefore congestive heart failure. This find has now changed everything. Due to the heart being so weak, he can now no longer have any surgeries until the heart is strong enough, canceling out any thought of a kidney transplant. They were also un-successful at trying to put in a "traveling" dialysis unit, meaning Tracy is no longer allowed to be on the road for an undisclosed amount of time. We are all shocked and stunned at what has happened in the last week, but we know God is in control. I have been home answering 3 different phones, some even all at the same time, trying to answer many questions. We have added a news update each evening on www.darttmusic.com so you can be aware at all times what is going on.
Tracy and Sharon will be staying home and having a number of intense Dialysis treatments for 3 days a week and up to 4 hours at time. The Dr is trying to remove as much fluid as possible and then hoping his heart will strengthen again. Several procedures will be taking place over the next many weeks! Stoney and I have cancelled nearly 2 weeks of bookings to stay home and reorganize a program that will allow the two of us to go on the road together. We are hoping to perform a collection of Tracy Dartt classics and continue his legacy until he can travel again. This is a very scary and emotional time for all of us, and I know you will be praying for us through this transition time. We are now facing a very heavy financial burden, as many people across this great country are. We have also received some cancellations from Churches who would prefer to reschedule at a later time when the entire group can be present. We know we are going to face some serious obstacles, but we also know who is in charge! He has promised to take us through the valleys, lead us through the fire and carry us over the stormy waves. I know that even though we are setting out on a new journey of life, that we WILL be taken care of!
Please continue to check darttmusic.com for the latest and hold us up in prayer! Share with your friends and family because prayer is a powerful thing!
Thanks again and God Bess you ALL!!
Living 4 Him,
BJ Speer

Happy New Year! - January 4, 2009

Happy Thanksgiving! - November 27, 2008

I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving! We are currently resting up in the Mountains of California preparing for a bust Christmas concert tour. We will start Sunday, Nov 30 and sing 23 concerts through Dec 21st. Please keep us in your prayers and we travel and pray for health as we will be fighting the flu season! We have been so blessed this year and I am thankful for all your prayers and support! May God richly bless you this holiday season!

November Update - November 19, 2008

Hey ya'll! We have left home once again and headed to California. We are currently in San Angelo, Texas and we are looking forward to singing for a new crowd tonight. Since we left home last week we stopped in Branson, MO once again to be guests on the Jim Bakker Show. We had our good friends, the Hockleys stop by for a visit, which started our tour out with some excitement! We were invited back to the Bakker Show in April to promote the release of the "God on the Mountain" DVD and to record a LIVE Concert DVD, with some special guests! From there, we sang in Arkansas, Beeville, TX, Austin, Big Spring and now on to El Paso and CA on Sunday. We had a special suprise this last weekend when some good friends from the Dallas area spent the weekend with us, which encouraged us greatly! Sometimes, you just need good friends along!! I have battled with some sickness, but am feeling great now and trying to stay healthy! We have a very busy, exhausting tour out West before flying home for Christmas, but God is giving us the strength and are excited to begin our Christmas concerts! Our Spring tour is starting to shape up, so check back frequently and remember to pray for us! I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoy the holidays with friends and family. Thanks for the prayers and support and until next time,....keep faithful!

Back from Europe - October 2, 2008

We are back from Europe and it feels good to be home! Let me begin by saying, the trip was Amazing! We left Monday afternoon from Nashville and arrived in Geneva Switzerland on Tuesday morning. We took the train up to Les Diablerets in time to have lunch with my mom. We began the conference Tuesday evening with about 65 missionaries from around world. I had the priviledge of meeting some wonderful people and we were invited back to sing in 2010 as well as possible stops in England, Ireland, Germany and France. My heart was broken after hearing some of the testimonies from these missionaries. People are becoming so hard and closed to the Gospel around the world. I can see more today than ever before that the return of Christ is close at hand and I am looking for that day when He takes us home! Our country is going down hill fast! On Thursday evening, we had so many requests by the people for MORE music that the Mission decided to have us do a concert!! We had so many comments and Global was very happy with the outcome of the conference. I wrote a journal while I was there and have attatched the first piece to the bottom of this news entry, so if you would like to read what I experienced you can scroll down. I will be posting pictures very soon! So much to do to catch up before leaving on tour again. We are home just for a few days before leaving on another 3 month tour to Virginia, Pennsylvania, Texas then out West to California. We will be singing again on the Jim Bakker Show in Branson, MO on November 11, so I will keep you posted when that will air. I thank you once again for all your prayers and for those who helped sponsor this trip! It was an honor to be invited to sing in a foreign country and I am so grateful for the opportunity!
THANK YOU for giving me the chance!
-BJ
Journal Entry
Day One: We left Nashville, TN after arriving home from Akron, OH on Sunday evening and experienced brake problems with the bus the whole way home. We had cancelled our Sunday evening concert due to an early flight schedule change and we were glad we did, cause we stopped quite a few times to fix the bus. Once we arrived home after not being home for 7 weeks, we packed for the trip and took care of a few things at the new house, since we only had one night in their before leaving out on tour. We finally got to bed at about 4 in the morning and had the alarm set for 7:45am to begin the long journey to Europe. I had been talking to mom during the day and she and dad were flying out of Buffalo, NY and facing troubles throughout the day. The guest speaker for the conference called and cancelled the morning of departure due to a detached retna of the eye. So, now the conference was without a speaker. Once through security, dad was called back to find that the new cases holding the brand new sound system he bought for the mission had been broken open by the airlines for inspection. He wasn’t happy! Then after going through customs, they noticed the name on the passport did NOT match the name on the tickets, so more complications! My mom was suffering with a horrible tooth problem, which will result in a root canal or by pulling, and I had come down with a horrible cold, with an awful cough AGAIN! We felt as if the devil was working over time on destroying this missions conference. Stoney and left Monday morning and flew through Newark, NJ, before boarding the 8 hour flight to Geneva. I could not sleep on the plane at all and was coughing, blowing my nose, had to listen to crying babies behind me, a talking blabber mouth in front of me and felt as if I was going to jump off at any moment! After a short night sleep and a 7 hour time change, we arrived in Geneva and it seemed as if everything was going to be alright. We caught a train from the airport to a town called Aigle, where we switched trains to a much smaller unit and climbed the mountains to beautiful Les Diablerets. This was where we would be spending the next few days ministering in music. The name, Les Diablerets means, “Little Demon”. Go figure! Here we were fighting all this opposition and then having a conference in a town of “demons!” My mom met us with open arms as we arrived at the Eurotel Victoria. We checked into our room by 11am and went to lunch downtown. The village is quaint, small, friendly and filled with swiss chalets on gorgeous countryside. Behind the hotel, the Glacier covered with snow glistens in the sunlight. The view is breathtaking and the air is crisp. Suddenly I begin to feel a peace. What was worry back home with finances and much needed work, exhaustion from a busy weekend and lack of sleep, started to fade away as I breathed the fresh air. After lunch, I unpacked and took a brief nap before heading to meet the Global Outreach staff and missionaries for dinner. We had a delicious French gourmet dinner followed by extremely strong coffee! As I was trying to keep my eyes open and mind clear, we began the conference with the song, “To God Be the Glory”. I honestly couldn’t think of a better song! Mom and dad sang “It’s a Wonderful Day” followed by “I’d Rather Have Jesus and His Eye is on the Sparrow”. My eyes began to fill up with tears and God started to speaking to me heart. A missionary from eastern London gave his testimony of the work in England and shared the frustrations and fears of the teaching over there. He shared about the ministry to the Muslim women and hatred for Christians. He ended his testimony with quoting the song, “Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus.” It has been so long since I have heard that song and it made me wonder why we don’t here the Old Hymns testified in church more often. They have such a great message to them! Director of Global Outreach covered the Speaker position and brought a heart felt message on “It’s not about me, it’s ALL about GOD!” We so quickly forget where to place our focus. We always think about ME, ME, ME. You could feel the spirit of the Lord in that room. With nearly 80 people present for the conference, (missionaries from all over the world) gathered in this room, the presence of God was in the place! I came back to the room and fought back tears as I began writing this journal. God brought us over here to minister to these people and already, we were being ministered to. In a time of negative news EVERYDAY, it was so refreshing to remember, God is in Control! It’s as if I can feel God wrapping His arms around me tonight telling me “I Love You”. I am incredibly excited to see what is going to happen this week! When the devil works overtime, God works AMAZINGLY and MIRACULOUSLY! Good things are going to happen and I am so blessed to be here in the beautiful foreign country of Switzerland!

New Pics Added! - September 18, 2008

Just a quick update to let everyone know things are good, but busy! We sang for over 9,000 people at the NQC last week which was a rush and just wrapped a TV taping tonight in Akron, OH. Stoney and I leave Monday morning for Switzerland, so please be in prayer that we have safe travels and a good trip! I have posted new pics from Convention as well as some other photos from our tour. I will be posting a much more detailed letter in a couple weeks when I return from Europe, but this is to let everyone know we are doing fine and staying busy! God Bless!

August News! - August 6, 2008

Happy mid-summer!
Well, I just wanted to give everyone an update over the past
couple months!! Things have been crazy here with the Dartts! On July
2nd, the house hunt began again in Nashville, but it didn't take us
long to find the house we liked! What did take forever, was trying to
find a bank to take the loan! Apparently, during our search for the
perfect house, we fought against loan company bankrupcies, mold
problems, new California laws for homeowners, and several other
issues! But, on July 31st we closed on our house in Greenbrier, TN! We
thank God for the miracle He provided and it is truly a MIRACLE!! (you
have NO idea!) I will be changing our address online in the next
couple days.
During the time we were hunting for our house, we remained fairly
busy singing in Alabama, Arkansas and Missouri. We taped an episode of
the Jim Bakker show in Branson and have been invited back for another
appearance sometime this fall. After one day in the house, we are back
on the road in Dallas, TX and will be out now for 2 months before
heading home. It was barely enough time to get our stuff into the
house before leaving, but it will be so nice to see the hundreds of
boxes in the middle of the floor upon ariving home! (just a little
sarcasm)
As far as the baby news, no worries, its not mine! Tracy and
Sharon were able to be in town to welcome their 9th grandbaby, Nolan
Alexander Dartt. Weighing in at 7.4 at 11:10 on August 1st, we were
glad to be in town for the arrival! The mama, Sabrina and dad,
Forrest, are doing great and are back home enjoying the new bundle of
joy!
In album news, "I Will Go On" arrived on the doorstep last week
and I am so excited to have the CD in hand and hope many of you will
pick up a copy online or in concert. It will be available on iTunes in
just a few weeks. I am looking forward to performing a few tracks from
this album, which is now my favorite! Having Stoney and Jennifer
Hockley record with me was so much fun, I can't wait to record again!
Europe is just around the corner and I am getting so excited! We
still have $1,000 more to raise, but I know God will provide the need!
He has provided the plane tickets and $1,000, so we are almost there!
Continue to pray that God will use us in a mighty way and people will
be blessed by the ministry of the Speers and Dartts.
If you happen to be in Louiville, Kentucky Sept 8-13, we would
love to invite you over to the Quartet Convention where we will be
singing in 3 different showcases throughout the week. There is more
information online through our website, for dates and times.
I appreciate all of your prayers over the last couple months, as we
have needed them greatly! Continue to pray as we have a busy Fall
schedule and then will be traveling out West during the Holidays. I
know that over the past couple months, I have truly felt Gods arms
wrapped around us! I must admit, I have doubted a little, questioned
ALOT, but never for once thought I was out of His care! He has
promised to never leave us and I believe at times He gives us trials
and tests to try our faith, and if we remain faithful, it only makes
us stronger! We have the VICTORY! God Bless ya'll and have a great
AUGUST!

We found a house! - July 11, 2008

Just letting you all know, we found a house in the Nashville area and will be moving on July 22nd! We are so happy and looking forward to getting in, but will only be there for a few days before leaving on a 2 month tour! Please pray that all of the paperwork will be finalized this weekend and we won't have any problems!
Just an update on our Missions trip to Europe, we have raised half of the amount needed, so we PRAISE THE LORD! Please keep praying the rest of the money will come in before the next deadline!
My new CD, "I Will Go On" is being released this next week and I am so excited! You can order CD's by phone (the number is in the contact link) or my email directly from this site. It will be available on iTunes sometime in August! Thanks again for all your prayers and have an AWESOME summer!

MISSION EURO!! - June 22, 2008

Well, I am happy to annouce that the Mission Trip to EUROPE is now officially a GO!! For those of you not on the email list, last week Stoney and I were invited, along with my mom and dad, in partnership with Global Outreach Mission to sing at a Missions Conference in Les Diablerets Switzerland. It is a conference to encourage the missionaries who have been ministering on the field all year long. There will be several speakers that will present the Gospel each morning and evening and then we will be presenting the music. I am so excited! I have been once before about 8 years ago with my family, and now I get to go back and re-unite with them once again for this week long conference. There is still lots to be done before leaving though! We still need to raise $2,500 for the trip to cover the remaining expenses and supplemented expenses while we are away. We had to lock down our tickets this past week and we were able to do so with donated air-miles! If you would like to praticipate in the mission fund, you can first start by praying!! Pray for safety, health and encouraged hearts over there. Second, if you would like to take a special part in the financial aspect, all gifts are being sent to this address:
BJ Speer/Stone Dartt
c/o Cassandra Nuttall
2325 Nashville Pike #431 Gallatin, TN 37066
I will keep you all updated on the progress of the trip and much more!
Also, continue to pray for us as we finish up this month. We have all been battling the "cold" here and I think we almost have it wrapped up!
We will be performing live on the Jim Bakker Show in Branson MO next Monday, so check your local listing for more information. God is opening several doors for us and we are so excited to see whats next! Hope your having a great SUMMER and until next time, God Bless!

Homeless and on Tour! - June 2, 2008

Well, on May 16th, Atlas moving company arrived at our house in Suisun, CA to move our furniture to Nashville, TN. We loaded the truck and on Sunday night, Stoney and I drove his car from CA to TN and met the movers there Thursday, the 22nd. On Tuesday as we were driving through Nebraska, we found out that the house we were expecting to move into, was sold due to a higher bid, so we lost the house. We moved all our belongings into a storage facility in TN and began to wonder what God was up to. Stoney and I flew back to CA on the 29th and we left the next day for Olympia, WA to begin a very extensive North West Coast Tour that would eventually end up in TN by July 1st.
This past Sunday (6/1), we had great services in Olympia, then headed down to Portland, OR for the evening service. We are off to a great start, but still have no security in having a home. At this point, we will begin the house hunt when we arrive back in TN in July, so please pray we will find something at that time. We are trusting God that He has something even better for us and we are very anxious to see what its going to be! Until then, we are all healthy and doing well and are excited about this tour! We will travel through WA, OR, ID, UT, CO, NE, MO, AR and TN. You can check the schedule for further details! My new CD is having a few hold-ups but hopefully nothing that will be too complicated! We have decided to bump the release date to July 15th; however, those of you who order the DARTT MUSIC iPod, with over 179 songs, 15 albums- you will receive my new album pre-loaded! The iPods sell for $130 and is available in 5 different colors. They can be ordered online through either website! Hope you have an incredible summer and stay cool! God Bless!

Home and Headed to Nashville! - May 6, 2008

Greetings from California again!! I can hardly believe how fast time is flying by. It seems like there are never enough hours in the day to get things done! We have had so many amazing things going on, we can hardly keep up! First of all, my new recording should be available to order on May 25th and released on June 16th! Yea! Second, we made an offer on a house in Nashville, TN and it was accepted, so we are in the process of moving now just after getting home after 4 months! We are very excited about the move and we feel God is IN the whole process because things are moving incredibly fast! Our California house is going on the market today, so please pray for a FAST sell. Thirdly, we performed this past weekend at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, CA for the "Great Western Southern Gospel Fan Fest" and had an awesome response from the crowd. It was one of the largest crowds we have sung to and a wee bit scary! haha! We sold out of all our newest CD projects and more importantly, had a blast! We thank the Hoppers for allowing us to come sing and we look forward to attending next year! We participated in the Writers Showcase in the afternoon, where we performed "God on the Mountain" and sat on stage with some of the greatest Gospel Singers today, including the Hoppers, Phil Cross and Poet Voices, Greater Vision, The Pheifers, The Henry Family, the Johnson Family and Legacy Five. It was so cool! I was a little nervous, but everyone was so nice, and made us all feel very comfortable! We were so glad to walk through our front door Sunday night after 4 months away from home, but now the work begins again as we prepare for a May 17th moving day. We need lots of prayer that we can finish packing, continue with our bookings, and prepare for a summer tour to the North-West, as well as working on a new music for a fresh concert. We have so much going on, and we need patience with each other and strength to accomplish all that needs to be done. God bless you and have a great month of MAY!!

NEW ALBUM DONE!! - April 12, 2008

Wow! The last 2 weeks have been a whirlwind! We arrived in Nashville, TN on Monday night, March 31st and the craziness began! I started recording Tuesday, April 1st, no fooling, and finished at 3:00 AM Friday, April 4th! It was so much fun, but extremely stressful! I cut 11 songs, including 1 original song that I wrote this past year, titled, "Sweet Baby Jesus Child", and it was so cool to hear one of my songs jump off the page and into music! The album is now in the mixing stage which takes about a month and will go to press mid-May, Lord willing! I am hoping for a June 1 release date, so please pray! Jennifer Hockley and Stone Dartt recorded 3 songs with me for a Bluegrass sound and there are several more suprises to come! I can't wait for you to hear this pop-country CD!! "I Will Go On" is very much my testimony right now in the midst of distractions and the rollercoaster ride of life. I am so glad that God never gives up on us and never stops believing in us! Today I am sitting in the bus in Birmingham, AL preparing for a Gaither concert tonight, where Lynda Randle has invited us to come see her. We have a very busy schedule all the way back to CA, and many exciting things and changes for the Dartts are to come. Please pray for us over the next 2-3 months especially, because God is moving us to amazing new heights and we are trusting the Lord for strength in walking that direction. God is SO GOOD and we know the changes will be even BETTER!! God Bless and I'll be in touch soon!

Spring is HERE! - March 27, 2008

Well, Spring is here, at least for some of us! We are approaching our last day in Florida and I hate to say goodbye! We will be leaving this coming Saturday to begin our trip back to California with several stops along the way. Please be in prayer for me this next week as I will be in the recording studio Tuesday-Friday preparing for my new album, "I Will Go On", due out this SUMMER! (Lord WIlling, JUNE '08). I am so excited about the song choice and the production of these songs that I just cant wait to get in there and begin! I will also be having a camera crew following me around recording everything that goes on behind the scenes of making a recording, so be looking for DVD in the Fall. I am so excited to be able to show you all every detail in making the album. A lot goes into the process and now I get to show you!
We have several stops in Texas on the way home as well as Arizona and the big Great Western Quartet Convention May 1-3! We will also be filming several clips, interviews and concert footage for the "God on the Mountain" video while in Nashville, so continue to pray for every detail as we make this wonderful story become a great video success! A lot of people have no idea the story or the man behind the song and this video will allow us to share all the facts!
This month we will have performed 27 times and to this date more than 180 people have accepted Christ as Lord and Savior and we PRAISE GOD for that! We had to cancel 2 concerts due to some illness that Tracy was experiencing, but he is on the mend and we are glad to be going again! Keep praying for us as we approach an extremely busy April and prepare for a BIG move! We are putting the house up for sale in California and moving to Nashville, so if you know anyone who wants to buy a house in CA, let us know! Thanks for your prayers and support! God Bless!

March Already! - March 6, 2008

Well, I can hardly believe how fast time is flying by! Spring will soon be upon us and I know those of you up in the north are looking forward to that! We are so thankful that we are not in Michigan and Ohio right now. My Uncle and Grandpa live in Canada and they received over a foot of snow just last week and another foot is coming this week. I am so thankful for the BLESSED state of FLORIDA! Haha!
We have taken a few days off for some much needed rest, but as you can tell by the schedule, we have an extremely busy March. We are scheduled to sing 29 times this month and then I am planning on recording my third solo project the 1-4 of April, so pray the vocals hold up. I was sick with the "junk" for 4 weeks, pretty much the whole month of February and its still hanging on, but I am feeling much better. It went through the whole group, but it just happened to stick with me a little longer!
We have seen over 120 people saved this year so far and what a great Florida tour we have had, and its really only just begun. We have 2 BIG concerts this weekend with my mom and dad, the Puffers from NY and the Weatherfords from OK. We have been asked to sing at the Great Western Quartet Convention May 1-3 and some upcoming concerts with Dottie Rambo and the Imperials. God is surely blessing and we are excited to see what's next for us all. It hasn't been an easy few months, but God has allowed us to walk through the valley, so we may learn a few lessons, but I believe the Mountain top is around the corner! The production of the "God on the Mountain" video is underway and we are hoping for a September release!!
Well, as I turn 28 this weekend, I am reminded what a wonderful life God has provided for me. A loving family, great friends, an amazing journey that has only just begun, and a Heavenly Father who has given more blessings than I can contain. We often forget the little things that God does for us, and focus on the big picture, but I am so thankful for the valleys he takes us through so we can learn all He wants us to! We are so BLESSED! God bless you all and have a great MARCH!!

Keep praying!! I am continuing to prepare for my third solo project, "I Will Go On" which begins production in April! The Dartts have been invited to sing at NQC this year as well as a concert with the legendary Imperials! We are thrilled to see what God is doing for us all and can't wait to see the next phase He takes us to! On the Road Again!! - January 18, 2008

Greetings! I apologize for taking so long to update the website! Its been insane over the last several weeks, so let me first start by saying, "Happy New Year!" 2007 was a wonderful, exciting year and we are hoping for bigger and better things for 2008! We left home the 9th and will be on tour through the end of April through Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Florida, Tennessee and whatever other stops God decides He wants us!
I finished up the 15th of January with $2,400 in donoations fo the new recording, after the money is matched, we will have raised nearly $5,000 for the currently untitled project! I am so excited! I about $2,000 short of completing the entire project, so please continue to pray for these funds to come in before April 6th!! The date for recording has been set in Nashville for April 8-11th, and couldn't be more excited! I just finished choosing all of the songs and I know it's going to be great!
We are preparing to cruise to Mexico next week on the Gospel-Fest Cruise and then begin an extensive tour throughout Florida. New tour dates have been posted, so check it out! If you missed this years' cruise, no worries, you can sign up next year! The dates will be posted as soon as this one is over, so be sure to check back for the date and SAVE it on your calendar for next year!!
Future plans for a television show are heating up in Nashville, TN and we are excited about what God is doing for the Dartts! We are trying to move sometime this summer and begin production for the first 1 hour long production in late fall. Please continue to pray for support and guidance as we set out on this new adventure! Lynda Randall, and Bill Gaither could possibly rally behind us for the "God on the Mountain" video. We are trusting God to meet all of our needs as we follow Him! I enjoy reading your emails and appreciate the prayers and support! I will look forward to telling you about the cruise in a couple weeks, but until then, God Bless ya'll!
